Legian Hotels – If ‘island time’ and indulging in a fabulous range of food and drink isn’t enough to relax you, there are day spas and spa treatments available all over Legian. Manicures, pedicures, hair braiding and informal massages can be enjoyed right on the beach or you can drop in at one of the many day spas for therapeutic massages, Javanese ‘lulur’ body scrubs, rempah and honey treatments and clay body masks. A number of spas offer treatments using luxurious virgin coconut oil and all services are very reasonably priced, far cheaper than you would get at home.
North of Kuta, Legian is more relaxed and laid back than the main areas but still enjoys fantastic shopping, dining and entertainment. The sleepy pace of Legian is ideal for enjoying the natural beauty of this tropical island and is a far cry from central Bali’s famous holiday party atmosphere.
Northern Legian borders Seminyak and is a popular surf beach that offers a welcome break from crowded Kuta. There are a small number of ‘organised’ tourist attractions but Legian is best explored at your own pace. The stunning natural environment and rich abundant culture showcases the ‘real’ Bali and most holiday makers spend their time shopping, eating and relaxing on the beach. Legian Beach also happens to be one of the best beaches in Bali from which to view the breathtaking sunsets.
